The Compartmentalizer

You trust people specifically — money, secrets, time, vulnerability, decisions — each tracked separately. Someone can be a 9 in one and a 3 in another.

What this type means

The Compartmentalizer treats trust as domain-specific rather than person-level. Calibrated and accurate, but cold-feeling to people who want to be globally trusted. Often present in people who have been hurt by treating trust as monolithic ("I trusted them fully and they betrayed me"). Roughly 10–14% of the population.

In relationships

You're calibrated and accurate. The risk: your finely-grained map can feel cold to people who want to be "trusted" without categories.

Watch for

Compartmentalization is healthy but the map needs explaining. Friends who feel trusted-in-A but distrusted-in-B may not understand why.

The growth edge

Name your categories occasionally. "I trust you completely with X, less with Y, here's why" — gives the other person something to work with, prevents resentment.
